This morning I scanned through the Jewish history from the Bible. This race faced many problems, but they had deliverers at different points in their journey. Consider this:
- Moses was there to free them from the slavery of Egyptian.
- Several Judges provided deliverance and leadership when they were oppressed by neighboring nations.
- King Darius of Persia was the one who let Jews to return to Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity.
- During the time of Jesus Christ on earth, they were expecting for a deliverer from the Roman rule.
One observation: most of the time deliverers are from within the nation; more than 90%. God raised a person, he empowers with confidence and ability, he gives him vision, and he made sure that person lead his people. Exception was King Darius who was not a Jews.
I pray once in a while for God to raise a person to lead our people during this period. We need a person to unite our people, restore our rights, and bring many more solutions our people face.
But in every situation, there has been and there will be people who claim to be leader/deliverer. Very often they are not. Look for people God raises.
Two very inspiring quote from Bible
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble – Psalms 46:1.
Call on me in times of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me – Psalms 50:15.
