Know Dawodi Area: Government Establishments

The table below lists the selected government offices in Vijoynagar Circle. I have compared the facilities in Vijoynagar Headquarter against the Lisu villages, because I don’t have the details about the Nepali villages. But I believe the situation in Nepali villages will be no different from ours.

Comments:

• Facilities are centered in the Circle Headquarter. Police and Army had camps in Shidi in 1980s and 1990s. After that they are gone.
• None of these government offices function well, except the army that have consistently their personnel and officers.
• Other than the headquarter, the post office have branch only in Shidi. Even that it has been about four years you cannot receive any mails. The mail service is dead.

Facilities Not in Vijoynagar Headquarter

It is even embarrassing to mention the government facilities not available in Vijoynagar:

• Limited Satellite Phone services: In all the Lisu villages, there are only four public phones. That too introduced just recently. Would there be any in future?
• Electricity: all we use is solar panels.
• Bank: forget it. Post Office is the only financial institution.
• Road: Still at zero.
