First time ever, the Yobin/Lisu dance was performed at Anthropological Survey of India (ASI), Kolkata from 23 to 24 February 2013. This was jointly organized by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal and Anthropological survey, Kolkata.

Three tribal groups from the North East India represented there – Mizo, Bodo and Lisu/Yobin.

Altogether, three traditional dances were presented – Chengo, Yoyi and Cholodada Wakhi.

The announcers introduced our representatives well “original tribe from the bordering areas of India and Myanmar”.

Most probably this conference is what is given at Newstrack on 22 Feb 2013, an international seminar on trans-border cultures. And the ASI newsletter for January – March 2013 included a photo from this conference as their coverpage.
